The 2021 Horley Carnival
After what we’ve all been going through during 2020, including the cancellation of the Horley Carnival due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s great to have something exciting to look forward to with the announcement that the Horley Carnival is back for 2021.*
Saturday 19th June is the the date to place in your diary. The event’s organisers have promised, COVID-19 permitting of course, the biggest and best Horley Carnival yet!
Superheroes is the theme for 2021
The theme for the 2021 Horley Carnival is ‘SUPERHEROES,’ and in keeping with the plan, the major arena event will be presented by the Vander Superheroes Space Wheel Show, featuring all your Marvel favourites: Superman, Batman, Spider-Man and Captain America; they’re all featured and set to perform spectacular stunts while high above the ground on their amazing Quad Space Wheel!
This truly exciting attraction has to be seen to be believed, and it’s hard to remember a more exhilarating act at any time during the Horley Carnival’s past, although there have been some highly impressive one’s! Why not check out www.vanderwheel.com for a taste of things to come?
You can also check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp5Hee0_N4A to watch your favourite Superheroes in their act!
Now that’s surely something to look forward to but the Horley Carnival, as always, will be offering lots more entertainment for all members of your family, young and the young at heart. Arrangements for many more enjoyable acts are currently underway and news of these will follow here on the Horley Carnival website and Facebook pages over the coming days and weeks.
Promoting And Raising Funds For Local Causes
The Horley Carnival provide local charities, non-profit and welfare organisations with an opportunity to promote themselves and to raise much needed funds with which to carry out their important work in Horley and around the area. You’ll find plenty of fundraising stalls along with food stalls places where you can enjoy a wide variety of refreshments within Horley’s recreation ground.
Preparations are also well underway for the very popular Horley Carnival procession* which will wind its way through the town, starting from the main town centre car park.
Promote Your Organisation*
While charity and local business stall bookings are already being received for this year’s Carnival, there’s still plenty of room and time left if you would like a stall at this year’s event. And with several thousand attendees expected to visit the recreation ground your business, charity or non-profit organisation will gain maximum exposure to the general public, enabling you to promote your products and services to a wide variety of local people.
For more information on booking your stall contact Fiona Stimpson by calling or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively call 07785 978731.
Before the Carnival parade begins, floats congregate at the assembly point in the Horley’s main Victoria Road car park, where floats and fancy dress entries will be judged by the Mayor of the Borough of Reigate & Banstead together with the Mayor of Horley.
The announcement on the winning entries takes place at the Recreation Ground after the parade’s arrival at the Recreation Ground just off the A23. What’s more, there will also be a prize for the Carnival’s best themed stall. To win, groups must follow a theme with this year’s being ‘Moments In History.’ All prizes will be presented at the Recreation Ground, once the procession has arrived.
If you run a club, pub, association, charity, a local business, school or children’s nursery and wish to enter a float into this year’s Carnival parade, there’s still time. To find out more or to book your place in the Carnival parade email email@example.com.
